MEDICALLY ASSISTED TREATMENT
STANDARDS AND QUALITY
As a company that takes pride in our standards of professionalism and quality of care at our Orange County medically assisted treatment center. We also believe it is necessary only to employ and provide a staff unit comprised of the most professional and seasoned experts in the industry of psychiatric health and addiction medicine.
Among our team of staff members are physician assistants who specialize in addiction treatment, as well as a renowned board-certified psychiatrist – who is also one of our company’s founders. Our clinical team inevitably holds itself to the same high standards we hold our entire facility to for the betterment of every client that walks into our rehab.
Our Clinical Approach
Upon admission, every client is required to see our psychiatrist for an intense initial psychiatric evaluation. This evaluation is used to diagnose the client with any existing mental illnesses, determine their current mental, physical, and emotional state, and prescribe a large portion of the client’s individualized treatment plan. Every client that walks through our door is a unique case with one common illness: the disease of addiction.
With a common goal and a specialized plan for treatment, clients are ready to begin their recovery journey with a strong foundation of self-knowledge, support, and a medical program that may consist of medicines or treatments that have proven to be highly successful. For example, Vivitrol injections substantially reduce cravings and block the euphoric effects of opiates and alcohol for 30 days, preventing possible relapse or deterring any incentive to use these substances.
ADMINISTERED BY PROFESSIONALS
Other useful tools that our psychiatrist may utilize include medications for mental illnesses such as mood stabilizers, antidepressants, and non-addictive sleep aids. All medicines are deployed at the prescribed times of the day and administered only by our licensed medical team.
It is important to note that A Better Life Recovery does not, however, prescribe or condone the use of synthetic opiates such as Suboxone or Methadone as a part of our treatment plans. Our Orange County medically assisted treatment programs do not believe that such “harm reduction” programs do much more than substitute one addictive substance for another, thus not representing a long-term solution to the disease of addiction.
At A Better Life Recovery, we stay on the cutting-edge of recent scientific discoveries in the world of medicine. We ensure the best chance for recovery sustainability and retain a consistently optimistic prognosis for successful experiences for each of our clients. A Better Life Recovery makes it a priority to be constantly evaluating new medical and pharmaceutical protocols to ensure we can provide a well-rounded approach to addiction treatment for our clients.
