GET BACK ON TRACK

When an addict gets sober, life inevitably tends to improve somewhat. However, people who have struggled with addiction and are now sober will not always be prepared for the “normalcy” of life. Accomplishments and experiences that are needed to function as a healthy member of a society fully can even prove stressful and triggering to those who are newly clean and sober.

Whether these changes are positive or negative in the recovering person’s life, change is still stressful, and we believe our clients deserve the support they need in every phase of their recovery. Failing to plan is planning to fail when it comes to treating addiction.

LEGAL AND EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE

Alongside an addicted past, there is often a stressful collection of wreckage. Our clients are typically confronted with a myriad of particular issues and psychological difficulties at the beginning of their recoveries. For example, some of our clients have ongoing legal problems or a hefty criminal record. Others may have little employment experience or lack vocational training, or perhaps they possess a criminal record that makes it incredibly harder to attain either.

They are burdened with broken and dysfunctional family relationships and are often clueless in terms of involving themselves in positive social and community endeavors. In most cases, they have been deprived of the necessary coping skills and knowledge required for living that most people take for granted.

ADMINISTERED BY PROFESSIONALS

Other useful tools that our psychiatrist may utilize include medications for mental illnesses such as mood stabilizers, antidepressants, and non-addictive sleep aids. All medications are deployed at the prescribed times of the day and administered only by our licensed medical team.

It is important to note that A Better Life Recovery does not, however, prescribe or condone the use of synthetic opiates such as Suboxone or Methadone as a part of our treatment plans. We do not believe that such “harm reduction” programs do much more than substitute one addictive substance for another, thus not representing a long-term solution to the disease of addiction.

Any reputable modern addiction treatment program focuses intently on the healing of the pervasive effects of chemical dependency- whether these are physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual consequences. However, few programs go further and attempt to address impending possibilities and possible future roadblocks on the path of recovery.

RECLAIM A HEALTHY LIVING

Unlike any other program, our Orange County reintegration assistance programs at A Better Life Recovery are geared towards assisting our clients in reclaiming these external components of healthy living- not just the internal changes that make those external accomplishments possible. Because of our stellar treatment team, an all-encompassing outlook on what attaining recovery means, our clients “graduate” from our program with a healthy smile, a positive outlook, and a renewed sense of confidence.

However, unlike most treatment centers, our staff also ensures that our clients graduate with a good job, a bank account, a career plan, high school diplomas, college enrollment, healed family relationships, healthy friendships, and membership in a healthy community. What we do in our Orange County reintegration assistance programs could be deemed as nothing less than a revolutionary approach to addiction treatment – an approach that truly sets us apart.
