WHAT SETS US APART

WHAT MAKES A BETTER LIFE RECOVERY A SUPERIOR TREATMENT PROGRAM?

We are dedicated to helping our clients achieve complete inner and outer transformations. We believe this is the only effective path to lasting freedom from drugs and alcohol while experiencing long-term success in our clients’ lives. This process has no set time frame and can widely vary from one client to the next. However, we do have a recommended structure for the different phases of our program.

Our approach is not merely the “cookie-cutter” type most rehabs supply, which consists of a 30 – 60-day treatment that is often followed up with an abrupt and unsupported ending. We do whatever it takes for as long as it takes for our treatment model to be successful for every one of our clients.

JOINT COMMISSION ACCREDITATION

Today’s behavioral health care environment is changing rapidly, and providers are experiencing even more quality and accountability pressures in the behavioral health care marketplace. The Joint Commission is the nation’s leading behavioral health care accrediting body, and they provide a framework to help manage risk and enhance the quality and safety of care, treatment, and services. Essentially, earning accreditation from The Joint Commission is a “gold seal of quality” and a mark of distinction for behavioral health care organizations.

extraordinary and highly-trained staff

Credentials matter at A Better Life Recovery. Our entire clinical staff consists of only graduate-level employees to establish a high standard for addiction knowledge throughout our whole group of staff members.

We have a 1:1 client-to-staff ratio. Top-quality and highly individualized care is our top priority. This includes meeting client-specific medical needs, incorporating a therapeutic methodology designed to address every client’s unique circumstances, and paying close attention to the basic needs of each person.

We even offer individualized meals for those with special dietary needs, religious practices, etc. Both a trained individual therapist and an experienced case manager are assigned immediately and will work with each client throughout the recovery process.

Typical activities include group sessions, enrichment activities, regular meetings with a case manager, and attendance at outside 12-step meetings. Additionally, each client undergoes an intensive program of individual therapy that includes a 1-hour long therapeutic session per week for the duration of treatment.

CUTTING-EDGE TOOLS OF MODERN SCIENCE

At the start of treatment, each of our clients has a consultation with our board-certified psychiatrist to determine if any of the several techniques or tools of modern medicine we regularly use will work for that client. We believe in the use of appropriate psychiatric medication and other therapeutic technologies.

Repetition and boredom are often the enemies of a long-lasting recovery. A large part of the recovery journey is learning that life is full of fun and healthy adventures and activities that are void of using any substances. Clients learn that there is a better life (pun intended) apart from the self-destructive mindset that was used to equate using drugs and alcohol with fun and excitement.

Our program immerses our clients in a wide variety of fun and stimulating extracurricular activities that also promote the camaraderie of healthy shared experiences, such as yoga and trips to the local gym, 24 Hour Fitness (Depending on Covid-19 Protocols). A community-centered dynamic of interpersonal connections is vital in the recovery process, and new activities bring our clients close together. As Johann Hari, author of the New York Times best-selling book Chasing The Scream and a long-time studier of addiction, states: “The Opposite Of Addiction Is Connection.”
