Administration Team at A Better Life Recovery

A team composed of passionate, professional individuals from all different backgrounds and walks of life. Our staff includes Therapists and Alcohol and Drug addiction Counselors who share the expertise and desire to deliver an unparalleled treatment experience to their patients. The common philosophy and application of our program will guide our clients to form a foundation of sobriety and learn to continue growing on that foundation to establish long term sobriety.

Corey Richman
Director of Admissions
Corey joined the Better Life Recovery Team in 2015. He has over 2 years expirence in the Recovery field and possesses more than 5 years’ experience in management, strong leadership skills and exceptional work ethic. Corey is emotionally invested in helping others, whether it be his staff or our clients. Corey is a graduate of San Diego State University, with a major in Business Management Technology and a Minor in Business Administration. His personal ties to the recovery and the loving support he provides to our community have made him a valuable asset.

Rachel Lewis, CATC I
Director of Billing & Utilization Review
Rachel obtained her certificate in Alcohol and Drug Studies from Saddleback College in 2011. She is a Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor (CATC I) and a member of the California Association for Alcohol/Drug Educators. Rachel found her passion in the Utilization Review Department, helping clients maximize their insurance coverage so treatment is affordable and attainable for everyone. Rachel has been working in the field of recovery since 2010 and has experience as an IOP Counselor, Admissions and Intake Coordinator, UR Case Manager, and Billing Director. She brings her knowledge of insurance medical necessity and level of care guidelines as well as her personal and professional experience to A Better Life Recovery to continue her passion in working in the field of recovery. She helps guide incoming clients through the complex insurance process and works diligently with insurance companies to help minimize out of pocket costs for clients. Rachel takes pride in fighting for treatment services through insurance companies on behalf of ABLR clients.

Jessica McGee
Operations Administrator
Jessica was introduced into the recovery field as a facility manager in 2013. Jessica helps to ease clients into the recovery process as smooth as possible. From the moment a client walks through the door, Jessica is performing the intake process & coordinates medical appointments and prescription medication pick-ups. She also handles all in-office administrative tasks. Being in recovery herself, Jessica understands the importance of individualized care and brings a sense of passion and urgency to her duties. She is beginning her education journey and studying Human Services to further her career in the recovery field.

Mark Georgeson
Operations Manager
Mark is a long time resident of Orange County, CA. He graduated from Pepperdine University in 1992 with a B.S. in Liberal Arts. He brings his passion for education and 20 years of corporate America experience to our family. Mark is often the first face a client sees. Mark oversees the residential component and all logistics that apply to the day to day operations of A Better Life Recovery. Mark brings a level of compassion and safety that is critical to foster the transition into ABLR treatment and equally important in the transition or reintegration as a client's treatment plan dictates. Mark is well versed in many modalities of treatment and is constantly evolving to provide solution and support to staff and clients alike. Mark is a passionate and consistent presence in the recovery community and a proud and active member of A.A. He is a loving and present father of two who has been blessed by The Promises of sobriety. He lives by the code of, "to keep it you must freely give it away."

Mike McPartland
Support Staff
Mike has been dedicated and compassionate in the field of recovery for over 4 years. He brings to A Better Life Recovery a strong knowledge of addiction ranging from his work experience mixed with his personal battles in fighting this disease and is proud to share his insight with clients. Mike is always willing to help client with their own struggles by bringing awareness to the twelve step process. He maintains professional boundaries with all client by keeping them accountable to their behaviors and actions as well as performing daily chores at the treatment center and residence.

Charles J March III
Support Staff
Charles is a registered medical assistant, and hospital corpsman in the United States Navy. He has over 10 years of personal and professional experience in fields of medicine and recovery. Prior to working at ABLR, Charles worked as a psych technician at A Sober Way Home, which had client referrals from Oprah, Dr. Phil, the network T.V. show Intervention, and other such distinguished entities. Charles has a strong passion for recovery and spirituality, and believes in a multitude of alternative therapy modalities.

William Mara
Support staff
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Billy Mara joined the staff of A Better Life Recovery in July 2016 after deciding that he wanted to follow his longtime passion: to help and serve those in need. A graduate of Quinnipiac University, Billy obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Law in 2013 and moved into an administrative position at Boston University. It was after relocating to California and undergoing his own journey of self-discovery that Billy decided to join the ABL team so that he can help addicts, alcoholics and those with a dual-diagnosis to discover their potential. Billy is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and hopes to continue serving those in recovery so that they may have a bright future.
